Organisers of MICE events are choosing the Lion City as their destination of choice in 2023 and beyond, attracted by its world-class facilities, international outlook and business-friendly environment.

John Hewko, general secretary and CEO of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation.

Having held an annual convention every year for 112 years, Rotary International is considered a global leader in the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) space. The only challenge with holding an outstanding event is how to improve it the following year. “Each time, a new bar is set. We need to look for ways to surprise, delight and amaze,” says John Hewko, general secretary and CEO of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. As well as events, Rotary is known for its role as one of the world’s largest service organisations, promoting integrity, understanding and peace.

Luckily, the venue for the Rotary International Convention in 2024 is Singapore, a host country which Hewko says is “excellent”. Hewko expects about 25,000 Rotary members and participants to gather in Singapore for the annual event, which he describes as “a mini-United Nations”.
